Description

The icehouse located to the west of the fountain is likely from the mid-19th century. It is covered by an earthen mound and constructed from rubble and ashlar, though these materials are now blocked. The icehouse is accessed via a tunnel-vaulted passage from the south, which is unusual as access is typically from the north or east. There are slots for a portcullis-type door, and the entry is rough and unfinished.
