Description
The Small Banks Joiner's Shop is an outbuilding associated with Small Banks Farmhouse, believed to have been used as a joiner's workshop. It dates from the mid-18th century and is constructed of hammer-dressed stone with dressed quoins and a stone slate roof. The building is two storeys high and features three single cells, each with a doorway that has tie-stone jambs and a lintel with an ovolo moulded profile. Above each doorway, there is a single narrow light on the first floor, which has a plain stone surround and small-paned glazing. The building has coped gables with kneelers, and the right gable includes a stack.
