Description

This is a mid-to-late 17th-century farmhouse originally comprising the main building and a wing, which numbers 426 and 428 Shetcliffe Lane now represent. The farmhouse is constructed of coursed gritstone. A cross gable features a saddlestone, kneelers, and a finial, and is covered with stone slate. There is an external chimney on the west side. Around 1800, two-light broad square mullion windows with drip moulds were added. A two-light chamfered mullion window is blocked in the gable. A round-headed light with a drip mould is set into the west gable end.
