Description

Lockwood Farmhouse is a late 17th or early 18th century farmhouse. It is constructed of coursed gritstone with a stone slate roof, featuring saddlestones and chimneys dated circa 1800. The farmhouse has a three-bay front with two-light windows, originally three or four-light chamfered mullion windows. These windows have broad 18th-century surrounds on the ground floor and deep splayed reveals. A circa 1800 square mullion window was inserted into the original window space on the right-hand side. A squared jamb doorway is present. An outshut is attached to the rear of the building. A 19th-century dormer has been added.
