Description
Wilson Fold comprises a late 18th-century former farmhouse and barn, altered around 1800, likely associated with the establishment of the Low Moor Ironworks. The building, located at 12 and 13 Wooler Road, Moorside, is constructed of coursed gritstone with large flush quoins. It features a stone slate roof and corniced chimneys. Number 13 was partly created from the former barn. The building has three-light square mullion windows set in squared surrounds, and squared jamb doorways. The barn doorway has a large segmental arch with alternately projecting voussoirs.
