Description

The forecourt wall and gate piers, dating from around 1870, are made of red brick and stand approximately 8 feet high along the road between Whitteron House and Number 28. The wall features a sandstone weathered coping and is curved to form a gateway, which is flanked by sandstone piers topped with gabled finials. The coping of the wall is also swept over a pointed rusticated pedestrian doorway. At the ends of the wall, the terminal piers have rusticated stone quoins and vase finials.
