HOOTON PAGNELL CLAYTON LANE (north side) Lowfold and Lowfold Cottage (formerly listed as Lowfold Cottages)

House now 2 dwellings. Late C17/early C18, renovated and extended c1980. Coursed rubble limestone, pantile roof. U-shaped range with C20 additions to left return and rear in keeping. Both dwellings now entered from return elevations. Main elevation: large quoins. Glazed door near centre has 2-light, double-chamfered mullioned window to its left and 2-light casement to right in altered surround with deep lintel. Blocked, quoined doorway to right has 2-light casement beyond in original surround. French window to far left has 2-light mullioned window to its right. 1st floor: 3-light window to left has blocked right-hand light. 2 original 2-light windows near centre with blocked single light to right and 2-light window, mullion removed, to far right. Hipped roof with 2 brick ridge stacks. Right return: later porch with original 2-light windows to each floor on left, no mullions.
