Description
Porch Farmhouse and Cottage is a building that has been divided into two dwellings. It dates from the early 18th century and has undergone some alterations in the 19th century. The structure is made of limestone rubble laid in courses and has a pantile roof. It features a three-cell through-passage plan with an additional outshut at the rear. The building is two storeys high and has four windows on the first floor.
An additional porch, which possibly dates from the 17th century, has a carved lintel and contains a nine-panel door with glazed upper panels, flanked by casement windows. To the right of the porch is a four-panel door beneath a divided overlight, with a casement window to the right. The ground floor has keyed cambered lintels, while the first floor features casements beneath milled stone lintels. The building has end and ridge stacks. Inside, there are two massive chamfered cross beams that have survived.
