Description
The schoolroom and school house, built in the mid-19th century, features hammer-dressed limestone with ashlar dressings and a Welsh slate roof. The schoolroom is located on the left and is a single-storey structure with three bays, including a lower entrance bay on the right. It has paired sash windows in plain surrounds with stepped keystones, and a board door with a divided overlight also in a plain surround with a stepped keystone. The gable has coping, shaped kneelers, and ball finials, with a bell located on the right gable end. The house, which is two storeys high and has three bays, includes a central projecting gabled bay. It features a six-panel door beneath a divided overlight and paired sash windows throughout. All openings have quoined ashlar jambs, and all except the outer first-floor windows are topped with hoodmoulds. The gables are adorned with decorative barge boards and finials, and there are ridge and rear stacks.
