Description

Dossers House is a house from the early 19th century, with later additions and alterations, including a range at the rear that is of no special interest. It is constructed from hammer-dressed limestone and features a pantile roof. The building has two storeys with an attic and two first-floor windows. The entrance includes a six-panel door set in an architrave, with consoles supporting a hood above. A frieze above the door is part of a longer board that carries a sign reading 'Tobacconist', with cartouches at each end. The house has 16-pane sash windows throughout, all with stone sills and flat lintels. There are also inserted flat-topped dormers in the roof, which contain 16-pane sashes. The house has end stacks and is included for its group value.
