Description
Glebe Cottage is a house with two distinct builds, dating from the mid to late 18th century. The left side is constructed of limestone rubble, while the right side features hammer-dressed limestone, topped with a pantile roof. The original entry was on the left, but it is now accessed from the rear. The building has two storeys and two windows on the first floor. A straight joint on the right indicates a change in construction. On the left, there is a 2-light Yorkshire sash window where the former doorway was located, and on the right, there are 6-pane sash windows. The ground floor has timber lintels, while the first floor features casement windows. The right end and ridge stack have been rebuilt. A blocked doorway at the first-floor level in the left gable end suggests that there were once two additional bays on that side, which have since been demolished. The cottage is included for its group value.
