Description

The village cross, located immediately to the north-west of Ivy Cottage in Hooton Pagnell, is a medieval structure made of ashlar limestone. It features a square, rubble-walled base with four tiered steps leading up to a cross-base that has a broach-stopped chamfer. At the top, there is a weathered stump of the cross shaft. The village was granted its market charter in 1253/4, highlighting its historical significance.
