64, Holgate Road

This is a house located at 64 Holgate Road in York, built around 1845-1850. It is constructed of brick and has a slate roof. The building has three storeys plus a cellar and features two bays. At the cellar level, there is a canted bay window with glazing bar sashes. The ground floor has a similar timber window with sashes that contain large square panes, and a cornice hood that extends across the full width of the facade. On the first floor, there is a timber canted bay window with sashes and a cornice, alongside a tall narrow sash window without glazing bars. The second floor features two glazing bar sashes. The entrance doorway is located on the right and is adorned with Tuscan pilasters beneath the cornice hood, panelled reveals, a four-panel door, and a plain rectangular overlight. There are chimneys positioned in front of the ridge on the left and shared with the right. The interior has not been inspected.
