GV II

Gate, gate piers and wall approximately 30 metres long forming boundary to front garden. Mid C19. Wrought and cast-iron gate; gate piers of white brick in stretcher bond, wall of red brick in stretcher bond: dressings of ashlar. Wall is stepped, approximately 2 metres high and has brick dentil course beneath flat coping. Gate piers are square on plan with chamfered plinths and moulded cornices: caps have segmental pediments flanked by antefixae to each face, all decorated with incised anthemion and palmette ornament. Single carriage gate has bars with twisted finials in the lower part, the upper of scrollwork panels.
