THORNE STONEGATE (west side) Front garden wall and gatepiers to No 20

GV II

Garden wall and gate piers. Probably mid C18. Red brick in Flemish bond, ashlar copings, cornices and finials. Coped wall approximately 2 metres in height with taller projecting gate piers flanking the pedestrian entrance to No 20; the wall continues for approximately 10 metres on right and for approximately 25 metres on left. Gate piers, now painted, have moulded cornices and tall pyramidal finials.
