Description
The gate piers and entrance wall to Thamesfield House, dating from the late 18th century, are constructed from brown brick and wrought iron. The walls stand approximately 7 feet high and extend 30 feet to the left and 90 feet to the right of the gateway, featuring brick-on-edge coping. The outer piers are square and topped with stone coping and ball finials, while the inner piers are slightly lower and have smaller finials. These inner piers flank a wrought iron gate designed in a C-scroll style with spear tops. Additionally, there are armorial cartouches set in scroll panels of ironwork above the brick plinth walls that sit between the inner and outer piers.
