Description
This is a house located at 171 Holgate Road, built around 1830. It is constructed of brick with some painted stone details and features a hipped pantiled roof. The house has two storeys and two bays. The windows are glazing bar sashes, and there is a sill band on the first floor. The doorway, located in the left-hand bay, has a timber surround with sunken panels, a plain frieze, a cornice, and panelled reveals. The door itself consists of six raised and fielded panels and has a plain rectangular overlight above it. On the right-hand return wall, which faces Falconer Street, there are two corbelled brick chimney stacks and a round-headed glazing bar sash that lights the stair. The interior has not been inspected.
