Description
This is a house located at 24 Saint John's Road, built in the late 18th century. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings and has a pantiled roof. The building is two storeys high and features three bays, along with a rear wing and a cross-wing, presenting a symmetrical facade.
The main entrance consists of a door with two panels that have fluted fields, although the fanlight above is blocked. The doorcase is adorned with fluted pilasters and roundels beneath an open dentilled pediment. To the left of the door, there is a four-pane giant sash window under a cambered wedge lintel, while to the right, there is an early 20th-century canted bay window. On the first floor, there are 16-pane sash windows on both sides and a 12-pane sash window above the door, all featuring sills and channelled cambered wedge lintels. The house has end stacks and plain close verges.
Inside, there is an early 19th-century staircase with turned balusters and a slender handrail, along with several doors that have six raised and fielded panels.
