Description
10 Parliament Street is a house that has been converted into offices. It was built around 1797 and underwent alterations in the mid-19th century. The building is constructed of brick with painted ashlar dressings and features a slate roof with a gable stack. It has a plinth, ground floor, and first-floor sill bands, along with a slab-coped parapet. The windows are topped with brick flat arches. The structure consists of three storeys plus a basement and attics, with a three-window range of 15-pane sashes and three 9-pane sashes above. There is a box dormer above that contains a 6-pane sash window.
On the ground floor, to the right, there is a wooden doorcase with Ionic three-quarter columns, a dentillated cornice, and a pediment. The round-arched doorway has steps leading up to a fielded six-panel door with a fanlight. To the left of the doorway are two plain sash windows. Below these, there is a blocked opening and a board door leading to the basement, both of which are also topped with brick flat arches.
