Description
No. 19 Parliament Street is a house that has been converted into offices. It was built around 1797 and has undergone alterations in the 19th and late 20th centuries. The building is constructed of brick with painted stucco dressings and features a slate roof with a renewed gable stack. It has a plinth, ground floor, and first-floor sill bands, along with a slab-coped parapet. The windows are topped with brick flat arches and the building stands three storeys high, plus a basement and attics. The façade has a three-window range of plain sashes, with three 20th-century wooden cross casements above, and a late 20th-century box dormer above that.
On the ground floor, to the left, there is a wooden doorcase featuring Doric three-quarter columns, a dentillated cornice, and a pediment. The round-arched doorway leads to a fielded six-panel door and a fanlight. To the right of the doorway, there are two 12-pane sash windows, and below, two plain sashes are visible in the basement.
