Description
This is a house located at 22 South Street, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of brick and features a graduated slate roof. The building has two storeys and three bays, with a single-storey, two-bay wing on the left side. The central entrance consists of a door with six raised and fielded panels, topped by an overlight that has Gothick glazing bars, all set within a pilastered doorcase.
On the ground floor, there are sash windows with glazing bars, positioned under cambered channelled wedge lintels that have raised keyblocks on both sides. The first floor features three sash windows with sills and glazing bars. The house has raised coped gables on kneelers and end stacks. The left wing includes two large sash windows with sills and glazing bars, also under cambered channelled wedge lintels with raised keyblocks, along with a raised gable and an end stack.
