Description
The Wold Cottage is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings and features a graduated slate roof. The building has a square plan with additional sections to the left and rear. It stands two storeys high and has five bays. The exterior includes a chamfered plinth and rusticated quoins. The ground floor is fitted with 4-pane sash windows that have stone sills, while the first floor has sash windows with glazing bars, also with stone sills. A dentilled brick eaves cornice, end stacks, and hipped roofs are present. The main entrance is located on the right elevation and features a 19th-century panelled door with a fanlight that has intersecting glazing bars, all set in a projecting stone surround with impost blocks, a hood-mould, and a stepped cornice. The interior has not been inspected.
