Description
Old Hall Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 19th century, with a later 19th-century extension at the rear. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, with the rear extension in English bond, and features stone dressings and a graduated slate roof. The building has a gable entry and stands two storeys high with cellars, presenting a two-window front. The main elevation includes 16-pane sash windows in plain surrounds beneath wedge lintels, along with a stepped brick eaves cornice and end stacks. The right gable features a 20th-century door with an oblong fanlight above, showcasing sunburst leaded glazing within an architrave under a wedge lintel. Above this door, there is another 16-pane sash window set in a moulded architrave with a stone sill and wedge lintel. The rear elevation also has two storeys and a two-window front, with rubbed brick quoins, a 20th-century bow window with glazing bars on the ground floor, and two 16-pane sashes on the first floor, each in plain wood surrounds with tile sills and gauged brick flat arches. The building has end stacks, but the interior has not been inspected.
