Description
The Hollies is a house built around 1830 to 1840. It is constructed of brick that has been whitewashed, with stone dressings and a slate roof. The building has a rectangular plan and features a side entry. It stands two storeys tall with attics and consists of two bays. The plinth has stone capping. On the garden elevation, there are 16-pane sash windows in plain surrounds with stone sills, all set beneath shallow segmental brick arches. The house has end stacks and a hipped roof. The main entrance is located on the right side, accessed by stone steps with flanking walls leading to a six-panel door. This door has a rectangular glazed fanlight and is set within a pilastered doorcase that features a moulded cornice. The interior has not been inspected. The Hollies served as the vicarage until around 1935.
