Description
Riverside Cottage is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of grey-brown brick and features a pantile roof. The building is two storeys high and has three bays, following a centre lobby-entry plan. The front door consists of six raised and fielded panels, set within a doorcase that has fluted half-columns supporting an entablature. To the right of the door is a late 19th-century canted bay window with sashes that include glazing bars. To the left, there is a sash window with glazing bars and a sill, which is positioned under a slightly cambered gauged brick arch. At the extreme left, there is a round-headed arch that leads to a service passage. On the first floor, there are three 16-pane sash windows with sills. The house has an axial stack.
