Description
The Wesleyan Methodist Chapel, built in 1828, features a porch extension from the early 20th century. It is constructed of grey brick with stone dressings and has a slate roof. The chapel is two storeys high and has four bays. On the ground floor, there are double-leaf doors with glazed panels, which are flanked by slit windows leading to the porch. The windows on either side are 16-pane round-headed sashes with radial glazing and sills, all set under round gauged brick arches. A band runs along the first floor, which also has four similar sashes. The building is accentuated by clasping corner pilasters and a moulded timber eaves cornice, topped with a hipped roof.
