Description

Mark Kirby's Free School is a mid 19th-century building constructed of grey brick with a slate roof. It is a single-storey structure featuring three bays, with the left bay having a gabled roof. The building has rusticated quoins and a boarded door located in the left bay, which is set within a pointed surround. To the right of the door, there are two pointed windows that have Y tracery and glazing bars. The eaves of the roof overhang, and the ridge is adorned with crested tiles.
