Pair Of Cottages About 15 Metres East Of Green Dragon Public House

This pair of cottages, located about 15 meters east of the Green Dragon Public House, dates from the early to mid-18th century and was raised in the late 18th century. They are constructed of brick with a colour-washed finish and have pantiled roofs. The cottages are two stories high and feature three windows on the first floor.

The left cottage has a door made of six raised and fielded panels with an overlight, while the right cottage has a four-panel door with an overlight that includes vertical glazing bars. To the far left is a 12-pane sash window with glazing bars and a sill, set beneath a flat gauged brick arch. To the right of the door, there are two smaller sash windows under segmental brick arches, which do not have sills. An additional sliding sash window with glazing bars is located at the extreme right under a segmental brick arch.

On the first floor, there are three 16-pane sash windows. The two windows to the left are flush-mounted, with the leftmost window having a sill beneath a segmental brick arch. The left gable features a raised coped design, while the right has plain close verges. The cottages have end and axial stacks. On the north elevation, to the left on the ground floor, there is a sash window with glazing bars and a sill under a flat gauged brick arch. On the south elevation at the first floor, to the right, is a Yorkshire sliding sash window.
