Description

The Memorial Hall, originally a house, dates from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of brick and features a cast pantile roof. The building has two storeys and five bays, with the central bay slightly projecting forward. The entrance consists of a double leaf panelled door with an overlight that has vertical glazing bars, all sheltered by a timber canopy with a lantern. On either side of the entrance are sash windows with sills and glazing bars, set beneath flat brick arches. The first floor also has five similar sash windows. The building has plain close verges and end stacks. There are 20th-century extensions on the right and left that are not of special interest.
