Description
Woods Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the mid-18th century, with later additions and alterations, including ranges to the right and rear. It is constructed of pinkish-brown brick, which has been colour-washed, and features a pantile roof. The building has a lobby-entry plan and stands two storeys tall with attics in the gables, and it has three first-floor windows. The entrance is off-centre and consists of a 20th-century part-glazed, fielded-panel door, which is set within a 19th-century doorcase that has pilasters and a hood. The windows throughout are 4-pane sashes, positioned under flat arches made of rubbed brick. There is a three-course band at the first floor level, a swept roof, and a ridge and end stack. A 4-pane sash window is located in the right gable. To the right of the farmhouse, there is a two-storey range that is of no special interest.
