Description
Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the early to mid-18th century, with later additions and alterations, and likely has earlier origins. It features narrow reddish-brown brick that is colour-washed on the front facade, with exposed limestone and brick on the right gable end, and has plain tile and pantile roofs. The building has a lobby-entry plan and is two storeys high with five bays, plus a single-storey range to the right that has attics and two bays. The entrance is located in the fourth bay and consists of a six-fielded-panel door with a divided overlight, set within a doorcase that includes fluted pilasters, a frieze, and a hood. The windows include 16-pane sashes on both floors in the first and third bays and on the first floor of the fifth bay. The ground floor of the fifth bay has a 20th-century multi-paned bow window, while the fourth bay features a margin-glazed 12-pane sash on the first floor. The windows in the second bay are blocked. The farmhouse has a dentil cornice, a swept roof, brick copings, and end and ridge stacks, with tumbled-in brickwork on the gable ends. The range to the right has an off-centre entrance with a plank door under a segmental arch, and otherwise features multi-paned casements, along with stepped eaves.
