Description

No. 2 Marton Road is a mid-19th century building that stands two storeys tall, constructed of yellow brick and topped with a Welsh slate roof featuring ridge tiles and brick stacks at the gable ends. The rear elevation facing Marton Road includes a round-arched staircase window and a doorway flanked by plain columns, with a cornice and entablature above. The door consists of four panels and is situated beneath an ornamental rectangular fanlight. The gable end is adorned with carved bargeboards. On the Scarborough Road elevation, there are three windows with rusticated lintels, featuring hung sashes with glazing bars. The ground floor has two windows and a porch that includes plain columns, an entablature, and a half-glazed door.
