Description

The building at 84 and 86 High Street dates from the late 18th or early 19th century. It is a two-window building constructed of red brick with a pantile roof. Number 86 has modern four-light casement windows, while number 84 features late hung sash windows of two lights with glazing bars. A central two-storey blank window recess is topped by a stone pediment resting on brackets. The ground floor contains late 19th-century and modern shop fronts. Numbers 16 to 46 (even), 46A, 48 to 64 (even), 64A, 66 to 100 (even) form a group.
