Description

Nos 85 and 87 on High Street are late 18th century or early 19th century buildings. They stand three storeys tall, constructed of red brick with a pantile roof. The facade features three windows with painted rusticated lintels and hung sashes that include glazing bars, although the center window has been painted over. The ground floor has two segmental shop fronts, dating from the early 19th century, which do not have glazing bars. There is a passage entry located to the right. These buildings are part of a group that includes Nos 29 to 35 (odd), 35A, and 37 to 69 (odd), as well as 73 to 93 (odd), with Nos 37 to 41 (odd) noted for local interest.
