Description

No. 38 Market Place is a late 18th-century building that stands two storeys tall, constructed of brick with a new pantile roof and a modillion eaves cornice. The façade features a two-storey bow window with hung sashes that include glazing bars, topped by a lintel with a fluted keystone. The doorcase is adorned with fluted pilasters and an open pediment, which supports a semi-circular fanlight. The entrance door consists of six fielded panels. This building is part of a group that includes Nos. 38, 44, and 45.
