Description

No. 5 Rock Lane East is a house built around 1840. It features an ashlar-faced exterior and a concrete tiled roof. The building is two stories high and has a square plan with three bay elevations. The main elevation faces the garden and includes a canted bay window. The street-facing elevation has a central wing with two-pane sash windows on each floor and an inserted doorway to the right. The return elevation to the right has a central door set in a wooden projecting porch, with a blind window above it. The house has plain overhanging eaves and end wall stacks.
