Description
No. 3 Rock Lane East is a house built around 1840, featuring an ashlar facade that is rusticated at the ground floor and topped with a Welsh slate roof. Designed in a Neo-classical style, the building is two storeys high and has a symmetrical three-window arrangement with a central entrance. The entrance consists of paired two-panelled doors set within an Ionic portico, which is flanked by segmentally arched tripartite sash windows supported by cast-iron colonettes, with stressed voussoirs and keyblocks. On the first floor, there are three 12-pane sash windows set within moulded architraves. The rear elevation has 12-pane sash windows on either side of central French doors, and two segmentally arched dormers that interrupt the plain eaves cornice above. The building features truncated end wall stacks.
