Description

A pair of houses dating from circa 1836, situated in Rock Park, Rock Ferry, Birkenhead. They are rendered with a concrete tiled roof. The houses are two storeys high, each with a symmetrical two-unit plan and projecting gables. Side entrances are housed within projecting, storeyed porches featuring chamfered arched doorways. Canted bays are present in the ground floor of the gables, and renewed three-light mullioned and transomed windows are found in the central range. Axial and end wall stacks are present. The houses form part of the original development of Rock Park, which was laid out by Jonathan Bennison in 1836-37.
