Description

This is a pair of houses located at 38 and 39 Rock Park, built around 1840. They feature a stucco exterior that is rusticated on the ground floor and have a hipped roof made of Welsh slate. The design reflects a simple neo-classical style. The houses are two stories tall and have a four-window arrangement, separated by full-height pilasters, creating a two-unit plan for each house. There are side entrances that lead into a single-storey porch, which has pilasters and panelled part-glazed doors. The outer bays contain tripartite sash windows with panelled mullions and stressed voussoirs. The upper windows have been renewed but remain in their original openings, framed by moulded architraves. The central bays feature shallow segmentally-arched windows that are sashes divided into four horizontal panes on the ground floor, also set within moulded architraves.
