Description

These are a pair of semi-detached houses located at Northampton Park, dating from around 1845. They are constructed of stucco, with an asbestos slate roof to number 5 and Welsh slate to number 7. The houses are two storeys high with a basement, and number 7 includes dormers in the attic. Each house has three windows. A shallow vertical recessed panel separates the two houses.

The ground floor is decorated with banded rustication. Steps lead up to a flat-arched entrance in the slightly recessed outer bay of each house. The entrances are set back within shallow porches supported by engaged Doric antae, topped with a plain entablature. Above the door is an overlight with decorative glazing and the original panelled door remains. A broad, tripartite, segmental-arched window is located on the ground floor. A storey band runs around the facades. The first-floor windows are flat-arched and have original sash windows. Deep boxed eaves and a hipped roof are present; a stack is located within the party wall.
