Description
This is a pair of houses located at 36 and 37 Rock Park in Birkenhead, built around 1840. They feature roughcast render and a Welsh slate roof. The houses are two stories high, each designed with a symmetrical two-unit double-pile plan and slightly advanced outer bays. There are side entrances towards the rear of each house. The outer bays have paired four-pane sash windows with margin lights, set in moulded architraves that include hood moulds above. Above these, there are twelve-pane sashes in the central section and on the upper floors. The continuous eaves line overhangs the central section, and both houses have gable and axial stacks.
