Description

This building, located at 37-41 Corniche Road, consists of three houses built in 1898 by Wilson and Talbot. The houses are constructed of brick with a plaster first floor, featuring some tile-hanging, and have a tile roof. They are two storeys high and have three bays, with the first two bays projecting forward under a gambrel gable, which is flanked by canopied entrances. There is a cornice above the ground floor, and the gable is tile-hung with a plaster apex and tile hanging on the left side.

The windows are leaded casements, some of which have decorative glazing. The ground floor windows consist of four lights and have cornices, while the first floor features three-light windows, including one in the gablet of the third bay. The entrances are covered by canopies, with the canopy of the first bay sweeping out from the tile-hanging, and each entrance has a three-panel door with leaded lights. There are two cross-axial stacks and a decorative rainwater head. The rear of the houses is similar to the front, with a plaster first floor, dormers, and privies.
