Description
This building is a terrace of four houses located at 134-140 New Chester Road, built in 1900 by architects Wilson and Talbot. The houses are constructed of plaster with stone dressings, featuring a tile-hung first floor and a tile roof. They are two storeys high and consist of five bays, with the first, second, and fifth bays projecting under gables. The ground floor has a stone base and quoins.
The windows have leaded casements; the ground floor windows consist of four lights with a cornice, while the first floor windows have five lights, except for the fourth bay which has a two-light window, all adorned with drip moulds. The entrances are covered by flat canopies and have four-panel doors with three leaded lights. There are three cross-axial stacks and a lateral stack to the left of the fifth bay, featuring diagonal flues. The rear of the houses is similar, with a plaster first floor, gables, and dormers, and includes privies.
