Description

The wall surrounding the churchyard of St. Helen's is approximately 180 meters long, extending to the south and east of the church. It is made of stone and is believed to date from the late 17th century, although a section facing Bridges Lane is later, featuring a date stone inscribed with the names of church wardens and the year 1826. The eastern part of the wall has coping with roll moulding. There are two lych gates: one at the western end and another at the northern end, which has a gate that swings around a central post.
