Description

These are a group of houses, originally one dwelling, dating from 1753. The datestone reads "R+S/IS/1753" and bears the Molyneux family arms. Later additions were made to the original structure. The houses are constructed of brick with a stone base, and originally had stone slates on the roof, which were removed in 1985. They are three storeys high, with two bays, alongside a lower one-bay extension to the left and a further extension to the rear, on the right return. The windows have gauged brick arches and boarded openings, painted to resemble sash windows with glazing bars. The left-hand extension has three-light, horizontally sliding sashes. A boarded entrance is centrally located and sheltered by a timber canopy. The building has gable-end stacks, one on the main part and one on the right extension. A stone slab wall, approximately 53.5 metres long, extends from the left angle to the street.
