Description

This is an 18th-century farmhouse, likely with some 17th-century origins, alongside an associated outbuilding. The building is constructed of brick with stone dressings, and has a slate roof. The main farmhouse is three stories high and three bays wide, with a stone-coped gable to the first two bays. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars and wedge lintels. A ground-floor canted bay window is located in the third bay, and features a hipped slate roof. The central entrance is round-headed, featuring a complete fanlight above a six-panel door, with return lateral stacks. A recessed, two-story block has a hipped roof with a belvedere, a segmental-headed entrance, and two 20th-century garage doors; a five-light window sits above. An end projecting, gabled block, largely reconstructed in 1985, is three stories and three bays wide, and includes a first-bay loading bay. The outbuilding was originally a brewery, and was in the process of conversion in 1985.
