Description
The wall surrounding the churchyard of the Church of All Saints, including the lychgate, is likely of late medieval origin in parts and was extended to the south in 1884. The lychgate is reputedly dated "1636 W.S." (though this has not been verified) and was probably partially rebuilt in the early 20th century. The structure is made of rubble stone, with the lychgate featuring a slate roof. The wall encloses the churchyard on the west and north sides, standing approximately 2 meters high, with rubble coping that steps down on the north side. At the south-west corner, the lychgate is square in plan, with a gabled slate roof supported by rubble side walls. It has a wide, unembellished throughway leading to the center and an early 20th-century wooden lattice gate. The roof of the lychgate was replaced in the early 20th century.
