88, 90 AND 92, BOTANIC ROAD

This is a row of three houses or shops located at 88, 90, and 92 Botanic Road in Southport, which date back to the 18th century and have been altered over time. The buildings are constructed of whitewashed hand-made brick with a slate roof and feature a brick chimney. The layout is single-depth, with Nos. 90 and 92 set back slightly.

In terms of the exterior, No. 88 is a single storey with an attic, while No. 92 has two storeys and the row has a three-window range. No. 88 has a doorway on the right side, a small oblong plate-glass shop window with a wedge fascia, and above it, a low oblong two-light attic window. No. 90 features a doorway with a thin wooden lintel and a square plate-glass shop window, also with a wedge fascia. No. 92 has a doorway on the left, a small two-light shop window, and above these, a three-light sliding sash window. There is a ridge chimney located at the junction of Nos. 90 and 92.

The interior has not been inspected. This row of buildings forms a group with Nos. 72-86 to the right, No. 96 to the left, and an old lamp post in front.
