Description
Nos 1 and 3 Union Court is an office building dating from the 1840s, located to the rear of No 27 Castle Street, which has a similar design. The building is constructed of stucco and features three storeys with a basement and an attic storey in the first bay, comprising a total of ten bays. There is a string course above the ground floor, along with sill bands and a cornice. All the windows are sash windows, with some retaining glazing bars. The entrance that was originally in the first bay has been blocked and replaced by a window. The main entrance is located in the seventh and eighth bays, flanked by windows, and is accentuated by flat pilasters and an entablature. There are steps leading to the entrance and a blocked entrance, with plain iron area railings present.
