Description

Nos 23 and 23a Castle Street is a three-storey building with a stucco front featuring six windows. It has a higher eaves level compared to the adjacent No 22 Castle Street. The building includes bands at the eaves, as well as at the second and first floor levels, and has pilaster strips at the ends.

No 23 has hornless sash windows, with two square six-pane sashes on the second floor and two twelve-pane sashes on the first floor. On the ground floor, there is a plate glass former shop window on the right side. To the left, there is a flat-arched doorway with architrave panelled reveals, a half-glazed panelled door, and a rectangular fanlight featuring rectilinear tracery.
